update on my niece:
she is on a respirator, unable to breathe on her own.

so far shes had: her jaw wired shut, she lungs have been operated own, they had been punctured, her right arm and right leg and have operations, her pelvic bone is broke, her father informed me that the dr's said she might lose her legs ( we are all praying this does not happen).
Nikki is only 22, and was leaving her boyfriends house when this happened. We have yet to find out what happened, they tell us their does not seem to be any sign of any other vehicles involved in this. It was a country road, and they tend to be unsafe around here.

more on my niece

she had a 5 hour operation yesterday, and has another scheduled soon. She is on a special bed that keeps moving that does not allow for fluid to build up in her body.

Her parents are beside themselves with grief. Her boyfriend and his mother have been there to give her there support. She is heavily sedated and no one knows what she knows has been going on lately with her.

the Drs lowered her meds and later that day Nikki waved her mother over. Her mom, my sis, was talking with Nikkis bf, nikki wanted to hear it and waved them over.

she still has another surgery on her spine to go and several other minor (by comparison) surgeries.

answering bubie2 question.

my sister is still losing weight. her hubby has been getting her food and watching her eat. Shes a worrier to begin with, and this ordeal with her 2nd oldest in wearing heavy on her.

thanks for asking how she is.

All of the doctors have referred to God in some way, manner or form. Often as the man upstairs comment. Faber (the hubby of my sis) likes how the best drs are all referring to God and not themselves in the manner of Nikkis recovery.

an additional prayer request, her parents have missed ALOT of work, pray that GOD shows them a way to pay for it all.

First and most of all, I wanted to thank everyone who has been saying prayers on her behalf.

I have good news to share about her progress. She is now no longer relying on machines to breathe for her, now she is fully breathing on her own. And also, she is now attempting to write messages with her less damaged of her arms.

Her car wreck was terrible, and her damage to her body was severe. She is making remarkable recovery, and her family attributes prayer pulling her and them through this terrible ordeal.

I wanted to be sure to thank everyone for praying for her. And to inform, knowing most of like do like learning whats happening with others.

and also to thank any additional prayers.

Her doctors have said it is between her (Nikki) and GOD if she is to ever walk again.

thank you all so much, I know I appreciate the support you have all shown and her family is beyond words in apprecation.
