I'm computer illiterate so I don't know if I caused this or if it changed for everyone. Two days ago my text changed. The letters are bigger and I have to use the bars across the bottom and down the side to read the pages because now they're too large. I noticed its the same at huronline too but I can't figure out how to change it back. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thankyou, Stacy:confused:

For Internet Explorer...go to Files/View/Text Size.. See if that works.

Oh Thankyou Vicky, that did it. It was so annoying and I still have no idea how it got that way. Thankyou, Thankyou, Stacy:D :D

Is the difference *only* on these two message boards....or is it on ALL webpages?

When you look at your desktop (eg. the screen) WITHOUT any browser window open, are all the icons still the same/normal size?

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. Seemed mysterious, couldn't remember having done anything to cause the change. But for me, all webpages showed the difference. Even though I've changed the text size, as Vicky recommended, I'm still having some pages that aren't displaying properly...but they work. On the Poloroid instant win contest (the one you can enter every 48 hours) for instance, the graphic of the camera is oversized and results in the image being split into two sized portions. Again, it still works to submit entries, so I don't worry about it.

The other option that may effect this is the Display properties. This is what controls your resolution...and changes to it will affect EVERYTHING you see, whether you're on the web or just using non-internet programs. Not every video card supports maximum resolutions, and the maximums result in very small icons (but allow a lot of "stuff" on your screen).

If the issue continues, and seems like a problem, and the mere text size change in IE doesn't fix it...you could try this. From your desktop, right click and choose Properties. Then click the Settings tab. You'll see a little slide bar called Screen Size. Note the displayed size/resolution BEFORE monkeying around with this. If the resultant change is unacceptable, you'll want to be able to return here and restore the previous setting.

Also on the Settings box is an Advanced option. If you open it, you'll see that there's a pull down box with font sizes. I'm not sure what all this affects...but it sounds like it may be applicable. Again, the question is whether your issue occurs in ALL applications or ONLY when using your web browser. I'd assume that this change in the Settings>advanced area affects ALL fonts.

George, not all web pages. And none of my icons or anything like that. Just the two I mentioned. But my fiance said it was like that on a few sites he was on (chat/ bulletin boards/etc). I did what Vicki said and it corrected immediately. The polaroid camera is fine too, although it wasn't big to start with. But I'm taking no chances, I printed this all out for future reference. Thankyou, Stacy
