This is a favorite at all the get-togethers, holiday events and so on. It is yummy!
3 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
2 cups elbow noodles
1 1/4 cup milk
8 or 12 oz bag of sharp cheddar grated
1 tsp salt
1 tsp dry mustard
Sauce:melt butter in a good saucepot, then add salt, mustard, and flour. Stir and then slowly stir in the milk to the mixture. Stir until it is bubbly. Stir in 1 cup of cheese and stir until it is combined well. I usually cook this on about medium. Do not leave it alone or it may scorch. Stir continually.
Noodles:Cook 2 cups of elbow noodles in water with a little butter until tender; then drain.
Combine cooked & drained noodles with the sauce, then top with cheese and cook for about 15-20 minutes on 350. People always love this and request that I make it. Hope you like it!
Note: If you like cheese, buy a bigger bag so you can load it on the top. I always buy the 12 oz. If you like, add a little more cheese to the mixture.
