Found a cheap alternative to Icees and snowcones

I am tired of shelling out $5 at a time to get everyone snowcones or Icees. Decided to play round with the blender today. Here's what I came up with it cost about 20 cents and made 4 small cups.

I mixed 1 pk koolaid with 1 cup of sugar in a large cup. Add enough water to cover the sugar. Stir until completely dissolved. Pour mixture into blender. Add ice until the blender is about 2/3 full. Blend until ice is crushed very fine.

I used grape koolaid today. It was very good. My grocery store had koolaid on sale a few weeks ago for 10 cents each (normally 20 cents each) I bought about 30 packs.

My DD makes it with the Strawberry Lemonade powder by Smuckers. She puts it in the blender with ice and grinds it up like a margarita. We get the large container that makes 40 quarts at Costco for 5 bucks. I watch her get brain freezes all the time, it is sooo funny! Her and the rest of the family love it!
