Well, I was one of the lucky $75 supermarket shopping spree winners in this contest.

I received a check made out to shoprite, which shoprite won't accept because I don't have a check cashing card. In fact, if you told Conagra that A&P is your favorite supermarket, they probably won't accept it even WITH a check cashing card. I'll be contacting them today with a major complaint. Turns out, the contest should have given either gift certificates to the supermarkets or checks made out to the winners.

Yup! Full shopping cart & all. My fiance said we should have just left it there and told them they could put our groceries away LOL...but it wasn't shoprite's fault! I'll keep you guys posted, but if anyone else wins this contest, make sure you enter the name of a store where you have a check cashing card.

Yes, I could register for a check cashing card, but then I have to write them a check for another order out of my checking account, then they will monitor my account for a month, THEN I can cash the $75.00 check. I figure before I go through all that I'll try contacting conagra.

I'm sure I'm not the only one encountering this problem...the winners list is huge!

Good news. I just got a call from the Shoprite and they called Conagra who verified the contest. They are (reluctantly) letting me come in tonight to pick up $75 in cash reimbursement for my groceries.

Well, at least I get the win, but it would be nice if it had been easier.

I won the $75 check also (and it came really quick). I had mine made out to Waulbaums and I went up to the customer service desk just to give them a little warning that I was going to use it and I was lucky, I had no problems but they should have just made the check out to the winner and made life easier for all.
