OLS Premium Membership - [5/1 Update]

I didn't have the "unlimited sweeps in MySweeps" functionality added (for subscribers only) before the Ohio OLS get-together last week, therefore I'm putting off the official start date to May 15th, 2004. All accounts have been credited with the additional time (e.g. 1-year subscriptions will now expire on May 15th, 2005 instead of May 1st).

Nobody is more disappointed in the delays than myself. I don't know what else I could say other than I'm trying my best to get this thing going ASAP. Now that I have a couple more weeks, I don't feel as rushed, and I have some more time to work on all the nifty little ideas I inevitably get any time I start tinkering. I think that's going to show in the end result.

Right now, I'm in the middle of the new add-a-sweep form, which for technical reasons I had to tackle before adding the ability to save unlimited sweeps in MySweeps. I was just going to do a quick hack job on it, but now that I have a little more time I'm working on some real improvements that will make things easier for everybody, especially our editors. Once I have the new add-a-sweep form to the point where I can replace the current form (2 - 3 days), I'm going to finally make the changes to MySweeps (unlimited sweeps, entry tracking) which I can't see taking me more than another 2 - 3 days. So my best guess is that subscribers will have the ability to save unlimited sweeps with MySweeps in 4 - 6 days.

Of course there's a bunch of other stuff that I both need and want to have done before the premium membership subscriptions officially begin, but as long as I have the add-a-sweep form and the added MySweeps features done, we're going to roll with May 15th.

Summary
Premium membership subscriptions will officially start on May 15th, any subscriptions that are made before that date will get any time between now and then free. The only additional features that are currently available to paid subscribers are a subscriber-only forum and a chatroom. In about a week (knock on wood), subscribers will be able to save an unlimited number of sweeps in MySweeps and track the total number of entries and the date & time of your last entry for each sweep. Additional features and benefits will follow.

Keep up the good work. Tracking total entries is a very good idea. I have a suggestion for a future update, something like this...

Sample Sweepstakes
Your Total Entries: 100, OLS Member Total Entries: 100000, OLS Odds:1 in 1000

This would allow us to get an idea of the odds.

Do you (or moderator) think some sweeps should only be entered from the home page or saved in our own personnel computer's favorites instead of the OLS my sweeps list, due to the sponser tracking and being resentful of sweep sites?
Do you (or moderator) think this is a real problem? If so I was wondering if there is a way to put an indication mark on them.
I ask this here becaue I wondered if it's one of the isuues you might be dealing with, it's (tracking and disqualifying)been discussed a bit in comments.
Personnally 99% of the time I think sponsers should be grateful for sites like this. You would think they want more people to know about their sweeps, seems hypocritical for a sponser to dislike people who like to enter sweepstakes. :frown3:
