Well, I'm surprised no one was up early to start this thread before me and my banker's hours...heh.
So it was a relief to know we no longer have to listen to Leah sing flatly through anymore songs.
BUT...Jennifer Hudson in the bottom three??? What up with THAT? Puh-leeeese. Even she looked a bit miffed about it. After all, did America really think Matt's second rate Karioke performance was better than her amazingly powerful, yet controlled vocals? Peshaw! (sp)
Boy did she show them when she sang again last night! Whoooo...smokin'!
And did anyone notice the freaky weird face Randy was shown making after they did their opening group number? He looked like he was saying, "I can't believe that sucked so bad, dawgs!"
Clay looked bored to be there.
Until next week...

I was happy to see Leah leave!! I didn't even like her attitude......
Was suprised at Jennifer being in the bottom three!! I definitely think Matt should have been down there.
I do like the little red headed boy. I don't know why - I just do.

I agree with you on Leah leaving. I still dont understand how she even got to the top 12. I am so happy I dont have to hear her anymore. I was suprise about Jennifer too but I think it did have to do with her song choice. But who knows. :)
Clay sounded amazing once again. ( yea I am one of those people that are crazy about him) Does anyone know what type of music they are going to be singing?

Peshaw....Mare, I love that!
Yes, we all breathe a sigh of relief to see Leah go. I wonder what will be the theme next week. How cute did Jon Peter look doing the group number? That is why I wanted to see him make the top 12, he will make their tour and group numbers that much more fun. I know, it wasn't the best and everyone is ripping it to shreds but c'mon, in a short time span, they learn the songs, choreography and deal with all this new attention. I think they did great.
Until next week............

Call me nuts, but I actually enjoyed the group performance! They sounded alot better than the previous 2 seasons of group singing. George and JPL are the only guys who could dance, but Jon Stevens looked so awkward it was funny, in a good way! Nice to see him out of his element, and out of a suit. BTW, can Jon get any whiter? Oh my gawd, he is so pale, he glows.
Not surprised at all to see Leah gone. Surprised that Camille wasn't in the bottom three...and Jennifer. She's really going to have to set herself apart from Latoya, Fantasia, Diana and even Jasmine (all four powerful Diva singers) to get my vote.
Fun show but way too many commercial breaks!

Leah was Paula's "wildcard" pick. So she didn't have a fan base to start with (that had voted her up into the top 12) It didn't surprise me at all.
Which is also why Jennifer was in the bottom 3. As another "judge voted" wild card (Randy's), she just didn't have the fan base of votes already there for her. While I think she is a very talented preformer, she is going to really have to work hard to gain that base and unless she makes a breakout preformance next week (and America votes on preformance not favorites) I expect her to be in the bottom three again next week.

I can't believe I missed it last night! I must have been thrown off by Survivor being on. Sigh.
Leah was a poor choice for the top 12 anyway, and someone like Susie or the tall cute guy would have had a better shot at making it further. I hate to say that since Leah is local, but I just couldn't stand watching/listening to her sing.
Fantasia and LaToya are amazing. :)

That Jon Peter has grown on me, he has Dork Power. George has grown on me too with that right on version of "Dock of the Bay". It was nice to FINALLY see the results show, it gets bumped for college basketball every week in my market.

I was cheering so loud when Leah got the boot that I woke up my son! I couldn't help it though. Her singing was boring and her personality and attitude was just awful. So glad to see her go.
I think George, LaToya, and Fantasia are all just incredible. It was nice to see the REAL American Idol there last night too. (Clay) :) He is just so amazingly talented.
This season may end up being pretty good after all.

I like George. I think he will make it to the final two :)

I love George because he's so genuine and humble. I think that's what I really liked about Kelly Clarkson and Clay, too. Ruuuuuben was sort of humble, but you could tell he was thinkin' "Hell, I'm good!" ;)
I have a feeling that because there are so many excellent singers in this group, that fame will find a place for several of them now that they've had this type of national exposure. (Uh, once Matt goes that is...)

I like George a lot. I thought he gave a great performance, plus he has such a winning personality.
I have to say, I was surprisingly impressed by Diana DeGarmo, too. Her personality is a bit grating, but I thought she did a great job, even though Simon didn't think so.
At this point, George is my favorite.

Just wanted to say that Diana did a really great job and has people talking. Look for her to stick around for a while!

:crowd: I'm wondering who everyone thinks will be/should be the next one voted off. I know a lot depends on a current performance, but I'm just curious as to what everybody thinks.
I think either Matthew or Amy will be the next to be voted off.
I also think either Matthew or Amy should be the next to go.

Matthew definitely. I really like Amy, but we'll see if she can blow us away or not next week.

Only because every time I think of Leah I feel catty! (meow). I disliked her attitude from the start. She seemed to think she had an in just because her mother had been a performer in, what, Bulgaria(?). Her voice was a whole other ball game. You know that sound you hear when 2 pieces of styrofoam are rubbed together? Well, it didn't sound like that - c'mon, I'm not THAT mean! She just couldn't seem to carry a tune, even with an over-sized bucket. I'm sorry her dreams were squelched. I hope she can make new dreams from this experience-perhaps modeling, she's a very pretty girl and the camera really likes her - even if the microphone doesn't!
