Isn't the Oscars boring and predictable this year?

I mean really I predicted who would win every award and was correct. Hopefully I will win some of those Oscar prediction contests. The show this year was so boring and Billy Krystal is :boring:

Usually their is always some upset. Me and my friends always watch and discuss and make bets. Well I won all the bets. I even predicted the foreign film winner correctly and won $100. I did not even see barbarian whatever, but I heard that it was a shoe in. Ha!!! :sleep2:

They are always boring, nothing new this year. I'm disappointed Johnny Depp didn't win. He's the whole reason I watched!

It's great to see many of the stars and super stars all in one place. Lord of the Rings won 11 oscars. That's wonderful! All of the Lord of the rings guys are on the post show headed to the oscar party. Steve Speilberg was drooling over Peter Jackson's wins.

I, for one it seems, think Sean Penn did deserve to win. His acting is superb.

This year's show was a snoozefest. No surprises. Bill Murray should have won.

Complete bore. The scripted banter between presenters could have been dropped and saved us a half an hour. I'm tired of speeches that thank everybody they've ever known by name. You'd think actors would know how to give a classy speech, but they sure don't seem to.

Yeah, very boring. And everyone looked pretty for the most part, so I couldn't even point and laugh at the bad dresses and hair. Boo!

Renee, keep some of that weight on. You look so much better with a few pounds on your frame! Nicole, I love your dress and hair. Charlize, you are very pretty and you looked totally glammed out, but a little plastic-y. Too much fake tan, I think. Angelina, you are a goddess and always look amazing, and that slinky silky dress was just so.very.nice....you looked like a modern day Diana (of the Greek, not of the Princess Di). Diane Lane looked killer, just perfect.

I usually find Jude Law to be sex on a stick, but he looked...weird, or something, last night. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it was kinda the same as my reaction to Charlize. Very, very pretty, but a little fake and off looking. I loved the LOTR boys all sitting together with Liv and Peter and Fran, very very cute. Bill Murray is just awesome, nothing more to be said. Johnny Depp looked cute (not sure about the hair, though), and Vanessa Paradis sitting next to him looked nice too, but the camera wouldn't stop on her long enough for me to get a good look.

I hate Sean Penn.

The opening cracked me up. I am so glad billy Crystal hosted. I hope he continues. I love looking at the clothes as well. I didn't like Charlize's makeup. SHe is so pretty and I thought it was a little too dark for her. I agree that Angelina Jolie is a goddess, does that woman ever look bad? I am glad Sean Penn won although I am a huge Johnny Depp fan. Sean Penn is just so good!

I agree about the banter. They would save an hour if they cut all that out. ANd the whole Starsky and HUtch thing with Ben Stiller was awful. I was embarrased for him. Now I don't know if anyone else will agree but I think Benicio Del Toro is HOT! Wow-wee. ANd Djimon H. (don't know how to spell his name) was really hot too!

I think Billy Crystal is a comic genius and Master of satire.
I also loved the Blake Edwards entrance. What a trooper!! Very strange that most of the actors he directed are now dead and he is still as sharp as a tack.

I wasn't as bored as some of you since the only movie I saw was Lotr of the ones nominated.I love Renee Z and was happy she won, but didn't see the movie so don't know if she deserved it, I'm guessing she did.

I'll never know if Ben Kingsley should have won because after reading the book "house of fog and sand" I knew I'd never be able to see the movie. That book haunted me for months.

All in all I thought the event was pretty well put together.

I didn't think it was boring, didn't watch all of it, but enjoyed it up til about 10:00. I also don't think Billy is boring, I enjoyed having him back and enjoyed his jokes.

It must not have been too exciting because I let the kids put a "Home Alone" DVD on in the middle, lol- I only saw the beginning and the end. I think Billy Crystal is a cheesy bore. I loved the LOTR movies so much and liked seeing them get the recongnition they deserve, although I think Ian McKellen deserved a nomination for his fine work as Gandalf-

have to agree,what did Charlize Therons makeup people put on her? and Uma Thurmans dress,not very nice.Diane Lane and Angelica Jolie were lovely,hard to imagine them ever having a bad day. Johnny Depp looked nice but i cannot stand his hair lately.thought it was odd both Sean Penn and Tim Robbins won,i know O'Reilly was having a fit...lol

I'd have to agree with you...and billy crystal was not funny at all last night. what happened to him? He used to crack me up. I think he's losing his touch. And what was up with Jim Carey???
