When it comes to music what is your guilty pleasure? (someone or group that you would never admit to listening to, but do!!!

My guilty pleasure is Justin Timberlake. I'm a mom, almost 30, and something about that Justin....hmmmm also Eminem....suburban soccer mom and rap just seem unatural don't they. :smile9:

Well, when it comes to music, and the kids are not around, I listen to Kid Rock and Nelly. It gets me moving and takes me to another place. If I want to relax by candlelight or in the tub, then I love to listen to Alabama. Most of their songs are just sexy.

Mine used to be "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer" ~~ believe me, I'm waaaaay older than their average demographic audience. :cool3: But now with that gone, I'll just have to find something else.... :wink4:

Actually, I'll admit to any of these...I have no shame when it comes to music: The Monkees, David Essex, The Sweet, Tom Jones, Burt Bacharach...and the list goes on. The problem with all of those is TH can't be home. He thinks I'm insane for listening to that stuff, but he is, after all, a dyed in the wool hard rocker.

I'm with Mare, I'm not embarrassed to admit this, per se, but it's probably something I'd turn down in my car if the windows were rolled down.

I love boy bands. *NSync, Backstreet Boys (when's the new album?!), Take That (Robbie Williams ROWR and YUM!), and NKOTB way back in the day. I just love the boy bands. I also love Britney (LOVE), but I am in no way ashamed of the Brit love.

I love how this is labeled "guilty pleasure"! But honestly, I LOVE all genres of music From Spice Girls, The Monkees, to Kid Rock and The Doors...anything with a beat :)

I love musicals. I'm a HUGE Gilbert and Sullivan freak. People trip when they see the songs on my MP3 player. Everything from JayZ to Patsy Cline. Right now I'm rediscovring the musical genius of the Violent Femmes.

Have to admit though, that after moving to the Seattle area I'm a little burnt on the whole grunge thing.

I still listen to New Wave music from the 80's-it is my oldies.

I also listen to the top 40 stations out of Austin. I can usually keep up with my teenage nieces when it comes to lyrics to the songs. They think I am cool. :cool2:

But when I am cleaning house and all alone, I crank up showtunes and sing along, big band music and dance, and old standards like Sinatra!

Oh, Bewitched - me too! My partner and I went to see "The Mikado" Saturday night for our 23rd anniversary. I adored it; she complained that the seats were too uncomfortable to sleep in..... :boring:

My guilty pleasures are the "lounge" singers: Wayne Newton, Johnny Mathis, Mel Torme, et al. I listen to them secretly so I don't see all the eyes rolling up! :rolleyes2

I had the honor of attending a Tom Jones concert in Reno on my 21st B-day. *swoon*
He is so dreamy! Bought new underwear just so I could throw them up on stage. :laugh:
