Does anyone have a good recipe/idea for using fresh blueberries? I'm not really looking for muffins, waffles, bread, etc. I'm looking for a healthy salad or snack.

I like to mix them in my yogurt and all bran extra fiber cereal (South Beach diet snack).

I put equal amounts of Cherrios and fresh blueberries in a bowl with some milk. Healthy but not a "recipe."

Here's another link to try, from Chef 2 Chef...it has several blueberry recipes.
The "Blueberry Sandwich" recipe looks like a snack my grandmother used to make for us kids, when we would visit her in the summers. (She had rows and rows of blueberry bushes.) The Blueberry Salsa recipes sound interesting. I'm going to try some of these recipes out myself. :)

I use a Taste of Home cookbooks and all their stuff is great, but I am sure they would have a website.

Great ideas! Thanks all! I've been trying to eat more fruits and veggies and Schnuck's (local store) has them on sale.
I just found this recipe too...

I've never particularly liked blueberries and have spent a lifetime avoiding them....Big mistake. Apparently the health benefits of a few blueberries a day are astounding:
I think it's time I learn to like them.

we go out and pick them every year... pm me if you want these- I have recipes for Blueberry Buckle, cornbread, cupcakes, fritters (loved these), brownies and of course the usual suspects- muffins, waffles, pancakes, etc... some I haven't tried just collected over the years for that day when I have free time- of course that day is full to with all the stuff I saved for it to come! lol. :smile9:
