This has nothing to do with sweeping, but I was wondering if anyone has ever ordered checks through the mail? I have this flyer and really like the design on one of the checks and would like to order it. I'm just a little paranoid that my bank account info will get into the wrong hands. Just would like some opinions from you great people. Thank you.

I have ordered them through Current and Checks In the Mail. Checks in the Mail is my favorite -- tons of designs that I love, good prices, easy re-orders that come quickly, etc. There are so many different ways that checking account info can fall into the wrong hands that we never even think about, which makes me believe that the ones that quickly come to mind (like using companies that print checks) are maybe a little more careful in their hiring practices. I have no proof of that, mind you. However, I have had no problems so far, and I've ordered them through those kind of companies since 1996.

I have ordered through various ones, the only problem I have had is with the deposit slips-the number is different (slightly) than my checks. But if you make sure you compare both the checks and slips when your checks come in and call right away they usually will send out a new box of slips right away.

Add me to the list!! I've been ordering my checks from quite a few different places for years, and never had a problem. You can find a wider variety of designs, and you save a ton of money. I've ordered by mail, as well as online.

I use Current and have never had a problem. Llamas is right though, our account info can fall into the wrong hands anywhere. For example when you write a check for bills or at the store the person handling your check has your account info, so there is always going to be a chance it could end up in the wrong hands. BUT it would be difficult for someone to take money out of an account without some identification, so I wouldn't worry too much!

The first order is usually a lot cheaper than the next one, so think about buying two boxes and having them last longer. No problems for us. One other thing, I like the pictures with the muted colors on them. I had one design where the colors were so bright it was hard to see what you filled in on the check. After that I choose more carefully.

I have been using these services for you. Like the idea of nice designs for my checks and costing less $$ than ordering through my bank.
just got a flyer for check unlimited and they are offering Cat in the Hat designs in checks and labels. As a school librarian, I like the idea of somehow promoting reading. So will hold on to the flyer until time to order new checks.

Have used 'em for years. Once in awhile, prob with sending wrong selection or misprint--they fixed it right away, so no prob. Why pay 2cs as much at the bank? Banks need to get wise to the prices. :halo:

The only problem I ever had with checks ordered thru the mail was the magnetic ink wouldn't always be read by the machines when I wrote a check at a store. That wouldn't matter now since I always use my debit card when I shop and only write checks when I am paying a bill in the mail :)

My parents used to use them until they sent 500 checks that belonged to someone else! :)
