Love it! I can't wait for the new season to start on the 16th. I tried to catch some of the episodes today on the Monk marathon. I've really missed that guy!

Trivia: Can you believe that Tony Shalhoub played Jeebs, the icky pawn shop owner, on the two Men in Black movies?

I love Monk :sherlock: and so does my 7 year old grandson but we have been at his house and they don't have cable. Now we're finally back at my house & I forgot :frown3: it was on............ I can't wait for the new season.

My husband and I love the show and are looking forward to new episodes, Did anyone else notice that over the summer some of the episodes (reruns) were on ABC? I was a little worried when they did that, but it looks like it will stay on USA. I told my husband if it's picked up by ABC they'll ruin it. Glad it didn't. J.T. :royal:

I LOVE MONK!!!! I caught the rerun of the episode where Monk has to go down to Mexico to solve a murder and he won't drink the water because It's not his favorite brand!!! Sooo funny! As the episode progresses his voice gets raspier and raspier until he can barely talk.
What about the episode where he tells Sharona to "Suck it up". Hilarious!!

You're right. ABC would screw it up, glad it's on USA. And yes, it is indeed time that Bitty Schram got some well deserved acknowledgement for her acting.

Monk Rules. We love Tony Shalhoub at our house, and have followed his career ever since "Wings." We were disappointed when "Stark Raving Mad" was cancelled. At least, I think that was the title. Had Neil Patrick Harris in it, and Tony played a reclusive writer.

Love it. Laughed really hard at the circus episode when the clown was acting up & Monk says "What is your problem?"

Also, noticed Sharona in League of Their Own. She was the one with the kid. Tom Hanks yelled at her "There's no crying in baseball!".

Too Funny. I love him as an actor. I cannot imagine how hard it would be to do some of the things his character has to do. I would be laughing to hard. The Mexico and him not drinking the water episode was halarious...I Loved him in everything he has been in. I also followed his carrer since he was the cabby on Wings.My Children even remind me when the show will be on so that we all can sit together and laugh. we even replay our favorite episodes outloud, and have another laugh...whom ever wrote the show, I am glad U.S.A is keeping the episodes going. I was worried that they may not continue it...I am well ready for it to start. My boys are reminding me when it will come on....

I love Monk, my husband hates it. My husband has so many of Monk's phobias (on a more 'normal' level) that it's hard for me to watch Monk without making comparisons. My husband is so much like Monk, that we were waiting together in a dr's office last week, he had to move some of the paintings on the wall around, because they were not 'symmetrical'. Then he had to give the whole thing up because one of the pictures was not centered properly on the wall, so he 'couldn't work with it'.

No kidding. But don't laugh at him, or point out that he has odd behavior, because it is everyone else who is strange not to notice these things..... :laugh:

My husband is like Monk--and I'm like Sharona--we even look a little like the characters, too. I just can't wait for the new season and I hope it will be on at least 10 years and then rerun forever like Seinfeld! Congrats to the cast for their nominations and awards as well! :gvibes:

I LOVE the show but have only seen a couple of episodes because I can't get USA at home. Please could someone tell me who killed the "oldest man in the world"? I saw part of the episode tonight at grandma's house but had to leave before it ended. Be sure to mention why he was murdered as well or I won't be able to sleep! LOL :laugh:

I like the show because its well written, and I like the fact that the protagonist has phobias and limited OCD behaviors, but is still a brilliant person.

Oh I miss that show! One of our sacrifices for me to be a SAHM is not having satellite or cable. I just love Tony Shaloub. Every once in a while I catch when I am over at my moms. That show is just pure genius IMO. :laugh:

From the previews Monk gets caught up in a high speed chases, and all he's worried about is Natalie coming to a complete stop at the stop sign and forgetting to use her blinkers.
