My heart is still pounding. I just had to break up the most horrible cat fight between my daughters 2 year old devil cat and my 19 year old, one foot in the grave, cat.
My daughter is home between semesters at college and brought the devil cat (otherwise known as Sloane) with her. This cat has hounded my old cat since day one and now she is outright trying to kill her. I have 3 other cats but for some reason this cat has singled out the oldest and most feeble one to attack.
Now I'm ready to kill too!!

This might sound harsh, but tell daugher she has to keep her cat Sloane in a closed room or better yet a cage while he visits you. It is not fair to your old kitty to be eaten and abused by an intruder kitty. If Sloane is dangerous to people, you could even tell her to give it away or board him at a vet. I am an animal lover, but I realize that some of them just won't behave. I would do the closed door thing right away. Some cats are wild or mean by nature and will never change.

She can put up with a litter box in her room if she wants that cat in your house. Poor old kitty. I hope she is ok. If there were wounds, she might need to see the vet. Cat bites cause infection. A neighbor's cat bit my lovely, friendly 4 year old fixed, declawed male Morris when I was a kid. He came to us this way as about a 7 month old cat. We did not know about the bite until his leg swelled and he had a huge infection. He was treated at the vet and at home, but he later died. So sad. I hope your kitty will be ok. :worry:

Trust me, the devil cat will continue to stalk the older one...it knows the poor thing is vulnerable. I had a same situation happen a few years back and it was awful, finally told our tenant the cat goes or you go. If your daughter is going to be around I would suggest she board the culprit at a "kitty motel" or find someone to babysit. If those options aren't viable, confine the offender to one room. Please don't let the old fella get hurt by the "bad boy"...the poor thing must be scared to death.

Do you have a garage? Sometimes I have to seperate my two cats, one is a boy (unfixed)...a little over a year, and the other is an older spayed female almost 10 years old. I put the troublemaker in the garage, with food and a litter box. A couple hours in there does the trick, he comes out meek as a mouse.

The dang young boy tries to mate with the older cat, and she, being fixed, wants nothing to do with the young punk. He grabs her neck and bites and everything.

So off to the garage with him when he gets up on his high horse. Straightens him right out.

As soon as I can afford it, he is going to become an it.

The poor thing! Just trying to be comfortable in his own home and being attacked like that. I agree that the devil cat needs to be closed up somewhere so he can't do any more damage. Bless your heart too as I am imagining that you are feeling very much "in the middle" with this going on, wanting everyone including the cats, to just get along. Hang in there! :gvibes:

The hell cat is in solitary confinement. And she's going to stay there until my daughter goes back to school. I told my daughter she is only allowed out of her room if she is on a leash. Now I just have to check my old cat (Crystal) daily for any signs of infected wounds. I couldn't find any wounds on her..but puncture wounds are just about impossible to see until they are infected :(
